Programme details
Programme description
Series of 3 satellites for scientific applications and technological demonstrations. Programme now framed in the NASA Earth Science Enterprise programme (ESE).
The platforms are actively stabilised over 3 axes.
The design life time is 6 years.
The satellites are on sunsynchronous orbits around 10:30 or 13:30, depending on the mission.

Data circulation
The primary data transmission is via the Tracking & Data Relay Satellite system (TDRS).
Real-time transmission in X-band to appointed stations.
Data processing and distribution from EOSDIS (EOS Data and Information System).
