Satellite Programme: Resurs-P
Programme details
Programme description
Series of satellites for Land observation, Astrophysics and Space weather.
Russian programme: Roscosmos responsible of development and operations.
The platforms are actively stabilised over 3 axes.
The design life time is 3 years (Resurs-DK) or 5 years (Resurs P1/P2).
The satellites exploit a high-inclination drifting orbit (Resurs-DK) or a sunsynchronous orbit (Resurs P1/P2).
The replacement policy is based on launching satellites in sequence, roughly 6 months before the expected end-of-life of a satellite.
