Single-satellite mission addressing ozone in the UT/LS.
ESA Earth watch programme - the Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy (BIRA) major financial contributor; other contributors from Canada, Luxemburg and Romania.
The platform is actively stabilised over 3 axes.
The design life time of the satellites is 3 years.
The satellites exploit sunsynchronous orbits at LST 10:00.
