  • Moved in August 2000 to 9°W to support the Mesoscale Alpine Programme (MAP) by providing imagery at 10 min intervals over a limited area.
  • Rapid scan service continued till 8 January 2007.
  • Then re-located to 67.5°E to support the DCS mission over the Indian Ocean and serve as back of Meteosat-7 (IODC).
  • The EOL date should be understood as the date of completion of the re-location activity.
