Programme description
Single-satellite programme, addressing the chemistry of the upper atmosphere.
USA programme: NASA responsible of development and operations. Main involved NASA institute: GCFC. Several instruments provided by foreign institutes.
The spacecraft is actively stabilised over 3 axes.
The design lifetime is 3 years.
A medium-inclination drifting orbit is exploited.

Data circulation
Onboard stored data downlinked to several stations of the NASA network.
Mission managed by the NASA/GSFC Payload Operations and Control Center (POCC), responsible of data processing and distribution.
