Single-satellite programme, addressing solar-terrestrial interactions.
USA programme: managed and operated by the Johns Hopkins University/Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL) on behalf of NASA.
The platform is actively stabilised over 3 axes.
The design life time is 2 years.
The satellite exploits a high-inclination drifting orbit.

Data circulation
The global data are stored onboard and downlinked to a JHU/APL station in Laurel, MA.
Data are distributed for processing by the JHU/APL Mission Data Center (MDC) to the Investigators responsible of the experiments.
