Programme description
Single-satellite programme, for land observation.
Spanish programme: developed and operated by CDTI (Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial), with ESA assistance for industrial contract management.
The platform is actively stabilised over 3 axes.
The design life time is 7 years.
The satellite exploits a sunsynchronous orbit around 10:30. It is associated to a SAR component named SEOSAR/Paz in a 6:00 orbit.

Data circulation
Onboard stored and real-time data downlinked to the INTA (Instituto National de Técnica Aeroespacial) stations in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) (primary station) and in Maspalomas (Canary Islands) (backup station). Use of a high-latitude station also is envisaged.
Data processed at the PDGS (Payload Data Ground Segment) in Madrid.
