Programme description
Single satellite programme, for all-weather land observation and surveillance.
Spanish programme: developed by HISDESAT (Hisdesat Servicios Estratégicos, S.A.) under the request and sponsorship of the Ministerio de Defensa (MDE) and the financing of the Ministerio de Industria, Energía y Turismo. Programme owned and operated by HIDESAT, which also holds the commercial exploitation rights for the mission. INTA (Instituto National de Técnica Aeroespacial) is commissioned to develop and operate the ground segment.
The platform is actively stabilised over 3 axes.
The design life time of the satellite is 5 years.
The satellite exploits a sunsynchronous dawn-dusk orbit at 6:00. It is associated to an optical component named SEOSat/Ingenio in a sunsynchronous 10:00 orbit.

Data circulation
Onboard stored and real-time data downlinked to the INTA stations in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) (primary station) and in Maspalomas (Canary Islands) (backup station).
Data processed at the PDGS (Payload Data Ground Segment) in Madrid.
Data provision performed by HISDESAT.
