Programme description
Also named ROCSat (Republic of China Satellite).
Series of several satellites for various missions. The FORMOSAT-3 and FORMOSAT-7 denominatiuons are reserved for the COSMIC programme, recorded at
http://www.cosmic.ucar.edu
.
Taiwan programme, some mission in cooperation with other agencies: responsible agency: NSPO (National Space Program Office).
The platforms are actively stabilised over 3 axes.
The design life time is 3 to 5 years, depending on the mission.
The satellite exploits either sunsynchronous or drifting orbits.
