Programme description
Single satellite programme, for solar-terrestrial interaction and Earth's radiation.
Joint NOAA-NASA programme developed and operated by NASA for exploitation by NOAA.
The platform is 3-axes stabilised.
The design life time of the satellite is 5 years.
The satellite is placed on the L1 Lagrange libration point (1,500,000 km from the Earth surface) performing measurements on both the Sun and the Earth.
