Programme description
Dual-satellite programme in the framework of the US Earth Science Decadal Survey, addressing climate benchmarks.
NASA undertaking: Lead Center: Langley Research Center (LaRC); Supporting Center: Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC).
The platforms are actively stabilised over 3 axes.
The design life time of the satellites is 5 years.
Two satellites at a time, twice, in polar drifting orbits.
