Programme description
Single satellite programme, for Solid Earth and geomagnetic research
German programme led by GFZ (GeoForschungsZentrum, Potsdam) supported by DLR, with large international participation.
The platform is actively stabilised over 3 axes.
The design life time of the satellite is 5 years.
High-inclination drifting orbit.

Data circulation
Global data stored onboard and downlinked to a number of German stations, the main in Neustrelitz, and also at Svalbard.
Data collected and processed at the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) in Potsdam.
