Single-satellite programme, for land observation.
UK programme: developed and operated by a consortium of British scientific institutes and industries sponsored by BNSC.
The platform is actively stabilised over 3 axes.
The design life time is 1 year.
The satellite exploits a sunsynchronous orbit around 10:30.

Data circulation
Onboard stored and real-time data downlinked to the ground segment facilities run by the QinetiQ Company, in centres at West Freugh, Scotland, and at the Bradford University.
Data service provided by the InfoTerra company in Farnborough and connected centres worldwide spread.
