Satellite Programme: L-band differential interferometric synthetic aperture radar satellites
Programme details
Programme description
The Ludi-Tance (meaning Land Exploration) are a series of satellites which have L-Band SARs in various orbits.
The first 2 satellites launched are in a 600 km sun-synchronous orbit 180 degrees apart. The third satellite is in an inclined geostationary orbit.
They provide all-weather, multi-mode, multi-polarization data to provide information about land resources, earthquakes, disaster prevention and mitigation, surveying and mapping, forestry, etc., and to accelerate the formation of rapid response capabilities for major disasters.
