Programme description
  • Single-satellite programme in the framework of the ESA Earth Explorer missions, addressing Earth radiation budget.
  • ESA undertaking following a proposal from the Italian Istituto Nazionale di Ottica (CNR-INO, Florence) in collaboration with other Italian and foreign instututes.
  • The platform is actively stabilised over 3 axes.
  • The design life time of the satellites is 4 years.
  • The orbit follows the one of Metop-SG (sunsynchronous at 09:30)
