Purpose SWAPI measures solar wind H+ and He++ and interstellar He+ and H+ pick-up ions in energy ranges 0.1–20 keV/q for solar wind ions & PUIs at 15 s sampling.
Short description Dual view spectrometer operating in range 0.1–20 keV/q. Sun viewing for solar wind and non solar view for PUIs.
Background Similar to a SWAP instrument on a Pluto mission.
Scanning Technique Sun pointing and anti-sun pointing.
Resolution FOV Sun-viewing: 20deg  × 10deg Non-Sun-viewing: 256deg × 10deg
Coverage / Cycle Measurements every 15 s.
