Programme description
2-satellite programme for high resolution land observation.
Chinese programme - CAST responsible of development, CRESDA (China Center for Resources Satellite) of data processing and distribution.
Platforms actively stabilised over 3 axes.
Design lifetime: 3 years
Sunsynchronous orbits consistent with that one of the Disaster Monitoring Constellation at ECT 10:30.
The 2 satellites are launched and operated in parallel, one for VIS/NIR imagery, the other one for TIR imagery.
