Programme description
Satellite programme, for land and vegetation observation.
National Italian programme: cooperative effort of several Italian scientific institutes and the Carlo Gavazzi Space company, responsible for project management, contract management and system engineering, both for space segment and ground segment, under ASI sponsorship.
The platflorm is actively stabilised over 3 axes.
The design life time is 5 years.
The satellite exploits a sunsynchronous orbit around 10:30.

Data circulation
Data stored onboard and transmitted to a number of ground stations. Carlo Gavazzi Space (CGS) responsible for data acquisition, processing and distribution from the IDHS (Instrument Data Handling System) in Matera, Italy.
