Programme description
In 2022 NOAA established the NEON program to manage low Earth orbit satellite missions.
The aim is to have a more disaggregated satellite Earth observing capability.
The first NEON mission is the QuickSounder satellite in 2025 in an early morning sun-synchronous orbit.
More satellites will follow in various orbits.
Data circulation
The data will be freely available.
