Programme description
Single satellite programme, for aerosol investigation.
USA programme: developed and managed by the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC).
The platform is actively stabilised over 3 axes.
The design life time of the satellite is 3 years.
The satellite exploits a sunsynchronous orbit following the A-train (13:30).

Data circulation
Onboard stored data downlinked to Poker Flats (Alaska) with backup in Norway.
Data processed shared among LASP (Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics) in Boulder, NASA/GISS (Goddard Institute for Space Studies) in New York. and the NASA/GSFC in Greenbelt.
