Constellation of 60 satellites for high-resolution land observation.
Commercial undertaking. Programme responsible:
BlackSky Global (BSG)
, Seattle, Washington, USA. Satellites built by Spaceflight Industries, Seattle. Partnership with Thales Alenia Space and Telespazio. Also partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
3-axis platform, design lifetime 3 years.
Operations up to at least 2027
A mix of sunsynchronous orbits around 500 km with ECT around 10:30 and drifting orbits. Information about individual satellite orbits are not available.
