Programme description
The Atmosphere Observing System (AOS) mission goal is to optimize how we examine links among tiny particles known as "
aerosols
",
clouds
, atmospheric
convection
, and
precipitation
.
AOS comprises of 4 satellites, 2 in sun synchronous orbits and 2 in drifting orbits
This is a joint US, Canadian and Japanese effort with contributions from other nations
The first launch will be in 2029
