BackForwardInstrument:  RadMon

Instrument details
Acronym RadMon
Full name Radiation Monitor
Purpose To provide data on the radiation experienced by the CIRCE spacecraft.
Short description 3 RadFET solid state dosimeters to measure the total ionising radiation dose. One internal and two mounted externally. Dose rate monitoring is made by an ultraviolet photodiode, and proton and heavy ion fluxes are measured by a large area PIN diode detector.
Background Research measurements for space weather applications.
